Amit Trivedi went into full period mode to compose the tunes. She’s convinced that she’ll die when the last leaf falls off a tree seen from her window and to give her hope, he makes sure it doesn’t happen. Feeling remorse and guilt, he stays with her and nurses her to health. Later, he encounters her dying of tuberculosis in an impoverished position. He plays a conman who charms his way into Sonakshi’s heart and home and one day takes off with the family heirlooms. He wasn’t his usual bouncy self but showcased the world that he can do roles that require him to portray theraav as well. People were amazed to see him in this period romance inspired by O. Songs like Ainvayi ainvayi, Tarkeebein, and Aadha Ishq were lapped up by the audience. He was confidence personified and it never felt like it was his first film. It’s their camaraderie, their face-offs with each other that were the soul of the film. His chemistry with Anushka Sharma was admired. They promise not to mix business with pleasure but fate certainly has something else in store for him.
He played a Delhi-based wedding planner in the film who falls in love with another of his ilk, played by Anushka Sharma. Like the energizer bunny, his battery never seems to run off. The energy level displayed by him in his first film itself was tremendous indeed and it has only gone up over the years. Bread pakode ki kasam, he was a natural in front of the camera and danced like a dream. This was Ranveer’s debut film and one which established him as a complete package. During this lockdown, brought in by the COVID-19 academic, a relook at Ranveer’s top musical hits would do wonders to alleviate our boredom.
Ranveer has a tremendous feel-good quality about him, something that’s the hallmark of a genuine superstar. Hell, he has even danced in costume dramas, as well in a cop film. He genuinely enjoys dancing and being part of the whole Bollywood song and dance experience. He’s one of the best dancers in the industry and has used those musical numbers to his advantage by showcasing some fabulous dance moves. Ever since he burst on the scene ten years ago with Band Baaja Baaraat, music has always played a role in Ranveer Singh’s career.
